I originally told the front associate that I would need two different types of tires (front and back). The associate checked my car twice and said that I didn't need two different kinds--only one.
At 1245, the tires still had not arrived and at that point, was told that the car would still take more than an hour to finish.
If you have a time commitment, do not come to this place. Only make appointments. I was told at 10am that it would only take an hour and a half to put new tires onto my car. However, it ended up taking more than 4 hours.
I asked a friend where he bought his tires. He said at Firestone on Chain Bridge Road in McLean. I am sure glad he suggested them. Bill and his people go the extra mile in customer service and offer a great value.
I strongly believe the fact that I am a woman played into why I was not taken seriously the first time.
We have had great luck here. They are honest and well priced. The mechanics and office staff are very nice, and they are efficient!
I recently had a screw embedded in a tire. They told me since AAA had plugged the tire and neglected to tell me to take the tire in immediately it would likely not last. Sure enough, I had to replace the tire. Bill treated me very well and I went ahead and replaced the full set of tires. That was a good choice and I received a great price for the new tires.
I ordered four tires after they quoted me $850 for my 2012 Mercedes GL, and I was planning my trip to NY just after my appointment to change the tires. I was surprised from a guy name Luis (tire sales manager) that my appointment was not set up for some reason therefore I can't change my tires, after some negotiation he accepted to receive my car after waiting two days from ordering the tires. When I get to the shop, I was surprised again because he asked me to pay $400 more than their original price quote, and when I asked him why ? His answer was this is our price, and the other guy who quoted you is not available and he don't know. I asked him to call his employ to check with him, but unfortunately the bad news was he doesn't have his phone number. This guy is a big player, please make sure you ask for your original price quote and get the discount you deserve. They simply waisted my time and wanted to screw me with $400 more, just because the new my trip the same day and I had to travel with my car the same day. I called the 1800 number, open a claim but no one cared and no one get back to me. I will never use this shop anymore
I will not return here again.
After my car had been suspended in the air for 40 minutes, the associate came up to me and apologized for not realizing that I was right. She said the correct tires would not arrive until 12pm. At this point, I was unable to drive the car off the lot because they had taken important parts off the car.
I will always buy my tires at Firestone McLean and will refer my friends to them, too. They provide great service and you can have a "peace of mind" knowing that they have been honest and provided you the best possible service.
