went to browse rings with my husband to give him ideas for my Christmas present...decided on a ring that was 2100$..on sale for $1200...the sales lady made us aware we could finance it... though it was still a lot we both loved it and thought it was perfect and after debating on it...we decided we could afford to use our debit card to buy it so we didn't have to take out any credit as we explained to her that we are planning to purchase a house in the near future...she continued to pressure us so much about financing. ..AFTER we said we would be debit..which is a direct withdrawal in full from our account!!!...and after explaining to her for 10 mins AGAIN why we didn't want to finance and her BSing us about how it would be better for US to take out credit and pay it right off...my husband was so frustrated with her, he decided it was besr to leave. so thanks horrible saleslady. u ruined a special moment for my husband and I...and my perfect ring. and u were so adamant on getting a point for signing up 1 credit card..u lost commission on a large sale! and our future business with zales.
So they scrambled last minute and got the right size and I was able to pick it up and propose. Fast forward two days after proposing. My fiancé woke up to terrible rash on the finger the ring was on. We didn't know but she is highly allergic to white gold. We took the ring back to Zales to see if they could cut it off her finger since it was too swollen to come of otherwise. They gave us a hard time saying we had to go to another store in the mall to get it cut off. I mean who would send their customer to another store to get the ring cut off just to come back down and buy a whole new setting. The manager came out after I argued with the Pakistani gentleman and finally agreed to walk with us upstairs to ensure it got cut off at no cost to me. We ended up taking the ring but she promised to personally give me a call when she had pricing for a platinum setting. This was a Sunday she said she would call that Thursday or Friday. After a week and a half of no phone call I went to the store to see if they had pricing available and timeline of when they could reset the stone. They gave me the pricing and I left the ring there. They said it could be done but how soon they didn't know. We had an engagement party planned a week after so I wanted to know if it would be ready by then and they did they would call me. I still haven't received a call from them. This business is the worst when it comes to customer service! I get it, they are a chain and not locally owned but how do they expect to have return customers or referals if they act like they just don't care once you've signed the dotted line and bought from them. We were thinking of buying our wedding bands from them but I will not be doing any more business with them in the future. I totally regret buying from here and wish I could have bought elsewhere. If they are such a big chain they need to have a repair shop or tools to cut off rings with and not send their customers somewhere else because they can't do it in house. They also need to work on their customer service because buying a ring is a really nerve wracking process and after you've proposed you want to have a place you can rely on with problems or future purchases. You want the people who work there to care and not drive you insane by not calling even if it's to call and say you don't have news yet. Bottom line, place was terrible I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy from here and even the management is terrible.
I went to Zales after having been screwed by another jeweler on an engagement ring. I came in with a stone and and idea of what I was looking for. The staff (especially Jennifer and Renee) were extremely helpful and helped me find the perfect ring. I was also able to have the ring resized and reset with my diamond all in a very short amount of time. I would highly recommend this Zales to anyone, the staff is smart, fun and knowledgeable, the prices are great and the speed of the service was fantastic. I would love if they had a 6th star on Yelp for going above and beyond. On top of all of this they even called me after I had gotten the ring to check in. Simply amazing!
My experience here has been a night mare!! I would not recommend this store at all!! I bought a ring for my girl friend and about one week before I was going to pick up the ring to propose they figured out they had the wrong size written down. Who does that?!
Awful experience, an Indian lady with glasses works there who tried to help us, has no idea what she's doing over there, doesn't know the price of any diamonds says have to call us back? Lol never heard that one before.
This review is for Zales in Tyson's corner location:
Zales products are very low quality and since they are aware of this, they have terrable customer service. They are willing to accept low ratings for the customer disatisfactions. The worst shop and absolute waist of time and money if you purchase from here. There are way better places in the mall to get what you need without being ripped off!!
Me and my gf were shopping for engagement ringa
